The wide, flat spaces of the 56th floor deck

Paris is historically not the most accessible city (cobblestones, stairs, narrow metros), but the Montparnasse Tower is one of the better attractions for travelers with reduced mobility.

The Good News: The 56th Floor

  • Entrance: Level access is available.
  • Elevators: Wide and capable of accommodating wheelchairs. Priority access is usually given to disabled visitors (skip the line).
  • The Deck: The 56th floor (indoor deck) is fully wheelchair accessible. It is flat, carpeted, and the windows go floor-to-ceiling, so you can see the view perfectly from a seated position.
  • Facilities: Accessible restrooms are available on this floor.
  • Experience: Since the 56th floor is climate-controlled and has the café and shop, you can enjoy the full experience without needing to go higher.

The Bad News: The 59th Floor (Roof Terrace)

  • No Elevator: There is NO elevator from the 56th floor to the 59th floor terrace.
  • Stairs Only: Access to the open-air roof requires walking up 3 flights of stairs (approx 60 steps).
  • Conclusion: Wheelchair users can enjoy the 56th floor fully (which is climate controlled and has great views), but cannot access the outdoor roof.

Pricing
